R Shiny − Web App Development Platform with Data Analytics

Shiny is an open source R package that provides an elegant and powerful web framework for building web applications using R. Shiny helps you turn your analyses into interactive web applications without requiring HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge. You can host standalone apps on a webpage or embed them in R Markdown documents or build dashboards.

This talk will introduce you R Shiny with several practical examples including data analytics and basic games. You will also hear about how you can self-learn coding in R Shiny along with useful resources.

Speaker Profile:
Dr Arinze Akutekwe is a data scientist with several years of experience in both academia and industry in (big) data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and big data analytics platforms. He has been actively involved with the design, development and deployment of advanced data analytics methods at industry scales. Within Fujitsu, he works on industry-focused projects involving the discovery of information hidden in vast amounts of data to make smarter decisions to deliver even better solutions to tackle the needs of clients.
