Data science includes a diverse set of highly interdisciplinary topics and data scientists are in high demand. There is also a move to build a data-driven economy. Therefore, this workshop will outline industry's need and how we can set standard as well as increase quality of data scientists. The discussion will also include short-term (e.g., CPD) and long-term (e.g., degree apprenticeship) training opportunities as well as how HE institute can collaborate with industrial partners on industry-driven live projects at both UG and PG levels. This short workshop will be followed by a day-long meeting in April for further discussion.
